Kyle Wilke, CFP®

Fee-only financial planning

I work primarily with busy professionals and executives whose financial lives have become more complicated as their careers and wealth have grown. For many of the people we work with, a big part of that complexity comes from company stock. RSUs, stock options, ESPPs and concentrated company stock. All of these benefits can create a lot of opportunity, but they also create a lot of questions. How much should I keep? When should I sell? What are the tax consequences? And how do these decisions affect everything else I’m trying to accomplish?

We help people work through those questions as part of a broader financial plan. That means looking not only at the stock itself, but at your investments, taxes, cash flow, retirement goals and family priorities.

We also work with professionals who are getting closer to retirement and finding that the questions are starting to change. For years, the focus may have been on saving and accumulating. Then retirement gets closer and the questions become: How much can I spend? Where will my income come from? When should I take Social Security? And how do I know whether I’ve saved enough to support the life I want?

I am a fee-only financial advisor and CFP® professional. We don’t sell financial products or earn commissions. We start with your goals, your circumstances and what you want your money to accomplish.

My own view of money was shaped long before I became a financial planner. I grew up in Southeast Asia, where my parents worked in refugee camps in Thailand in the years after the Vietnam War. Watching the difference compassion made shaped how I define wealth.

I came to believe that money is a tool. It should provide financial security and give you choices, but it can also support the people you care about, the causes that matter to you and the life you want to live.

Whether you’re dealing with a growing amount of company stock or getting closer to retirement, the goal is the same: make thoughtful decisions today without losing sight of the bigger picture.

If that sounds like the kind of financial planning you’re looking for, I’d be happy to get acquainted.
